Please stop tempting him with your delicious food posts, it's not fair to me!

When I was little, my mother initially did not make American-style "nuggets", which to her European cooking sensibilities were a blasphemy. Then when I was 13 or so, I went to dinner at a friend's house. They were an Irish Catholic working class family with lots of kids. For dinner the mother served: salad consisting entirely of lettuce and ranch dressing, followed by chicken nuggets from the box. Just nuggets, lots of them, with ...honey on the side. The kids would fill their plate with nuggets, and eat them with their hands, dipping them into the honey. I remember thinking it was the best meal I ever had. When I came home I begged my mother to buy frozen chicken nuggets in a box. And so began her decent into "American" cooking.Velouriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00359329171411037482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8356723782465446786.post-17179245389131713782010-01-29T16:18:24.532-05:002010-01-29T16:18:24.532-05:00Make enough for everyone.Make enough for everyone.Jefehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18001520110617628401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8356723782465446786.post-66047620099437042692010-01-29T16:11:06.906-05:002010-01-29T16:11:06.906-05:00Vee-

He's just so happy to get something other than dog chow that I don't think he notices as he inhales it.
He's old and his teeth hurt him, so we've been soaking his kibble in hot water. He liked it so much that he gained a lot of weight, and we're having to put him on a bit of a diet!cyclerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10331461189944538729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8356723782465446786.post-33430204396817844122010-01-29T06:19:58.375-05:002010-01-29T06:19:58.375-05:00AWESOME!

I will definitely add that recipe to the repetoire. And I agree that 8pm on a Wednesday isn't the best time to be doing food prep. ;-)

Aaron2whls3spdshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16954543886269776858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8356723782465446786.post-76077005189104216772010-01-28T23:29:24.111-05:002010-01-28T23:29:24.111-05:00Looks like our dinner yesterday...Looks like our dinner yesterday...Steve Ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13650405341304401203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8356723782465446786.post-7137754586246858872010-01-28T23:16:08.543-05:002010-01-28T23:16:08.543-05:00Do you feel guilty about sticking the dog with the...Do you feel guilty about sticking the dog with the fattier bits?
